Refund Policy
Dr. Christmas Lights — Refund, Cancellation & Service Policy
Overview
At Dr. Christmas Lights, we specialize in creating bright, beautiful, and professional holiday lighting displays for homes and businesses.
Because every project is custom-scheduled, designed, and built with specific materials, this policy ensures fairness and transparency for both our customers and our team.
Deposits and Payments

A 50% deposit (or as stated in your quote) is required to reserve your installation date and order materials.

The remaining balance is due upon completion of installation.

Deposits become non-refundable once materials are ordered or installation has begun.
Cancellations

Cancellations within 72 hours of booking (before materials are ordered) qualify for a full refund of the deposit.

Cancellations after materials are ordered but before installation begins will receive a partial refund, minus material costs and a 10% scheduling fee.

Cancellations within 72 hours of your scheduled installation date are non-refundable due to reserved labor and materials.
Weather Delays
If installation must be postponed due to unsafe weather (rain, wind, lightning, etc.), your appointment will be rescheduled at the earliest available date.
Weather-related delays do not qualify for refunds, but all payments remain valid until service is completed.
Post-Installation Issues
We guarantee our workmanship on installations for the duration of the holiday season (typically through January 10th, unless otherwise stated).

If lights or materials supplied by Dr. Christmas Lights fail due to installation error or product defect, we will repair or replace them at no cost.

If you provide your own lights or materials, Dr. Christmas Lights is not responsible for product failure, defective bulbs, or malfunctioning connections.

However, we can assist with repair or replacement at an additional service charge.

Damage caused by pets, landscapers, wind, tampering, or power surges is not covered under warranty and may require a service fee for repair.

Refunds will not be issued after installation, but we will promptly address any workmanship-related concerns.
Light Removal

Light removal is not included in the standard installation price.

Removal services can be added for an additional cost and are typically scheduled after January 2nd.

If removal service is purchased, the fee becomes non-refundable once scheduled.

Customers who do not purchase removal are responsible for removing and storing their own lights.
Satisfaction Guarantee
If you are not fully satisfied with the appearance or placement of your display, please notify us within 48 hours of installation.
We will make reasonable adjustments at no additional cost.
Requests made after that period may incur a service charge.
